The 2023 Service Above Self Event was held on March 1, 2023 (rescheduled from Feb. 22 due to inclement weather). Our club honored Laura Doyen, Susu Sadaka, and the South Central Minnesota Food Recovery at the luncheon event held at the Marriott Courtyard in Mankato.

On Wednesday, November 2, the Greater Mankato Rotary Club assisted the Salvation Army with its bell ringing kick off.

Five Club members attended the Rotary International Convention in Houston, TX June 4-8, 2022.

On Friday, January 5, 2024 our club hosted a Bowl-A-Thon at the Wow! Zone with proceeds going to our Literacy fund. 16 teams participated and $32,000 was raised. Photos by Don Putzier.

The Annual Rotary Speech and Debate luncheon took place on May 18 at the Country Inn & Suites in Mankato. Students from Loyola, East, and West High Schools were honored and received a scholarship from the club. Two of the students performed for the crowd, which included Rotary members, school administrators, and family members.

ON Feb. 23, 2022 Greater Mankato Rotary hosted the annual Service Above Self event honoring 2021 recipients Lori Benike, Dr. Katie Smentek, and the Betsy-Tacy Society. The event was held at the Country Inn & Suites in Mankato from 11:30- am to 1:00 pm. Lisa Cownie & Steve Jameson were the emcees, the invocation was given by Bruce Gratz, and photos were provided by Don Putzier. A check in the amount of $1500 was presented to the Betsy-Tacy Society as part of the proceeds from the event.

The Greater Mankato Rotary Club held their annual speech and debate lunch at the Courtyard by Marriott in Mankato. Seniors from all three local high schools who participated in speech and debate this season were awarded a $300 scholarship and given a chance to share their craft with the lunch attendees.
