The Greater Mankato Rotary Club Foundation Committee would like to encourage all members in our club consider supporting the Rotary Foundation.  The Foundation allows Rotary to do good work in the world.

It is a not-for-profit organization supported by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends.  It helps Rotarians to promote world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.  Support is essential to make projects possible, which are funded with Foundation grants for communities in need. Some of the areas supported include Polioplus, Rotary Peace Fellowships, and grants for projects, scholarships, and training.  The Rotary Foundations helps out in times of crisis, such as the current war in Ukraine, and also provides ongoing support for current and future projects.

Rotary encourages all members to participate in its “Every Rotarian Every Year” program to help fund the Foundation.   An easy way to contribute is to have $25.00 each quarter billed to your club statement, which amounts to a $100.00 contribution per year to the Rotary Foundation.  A number of members are already contributing in this way.  You may contact Denise Zernechel at denise.zernechel@gmail.com to set this up if you desire.

If you contribute $100 or more each year to the Annual Fund, you are considered a sustaining member.  If you contribute $1000 or more cumulatively to the Annual Fund, the PolioPlus fund, or an approved global grant, you are considered a Paul Harris Fellow.
