Open Door Health Center is a nonprofit community health center, providing quality affordable health care to everyone! 2019 marks are 25th year providing integrated healthcare in south central Minnesota to everyone regardless of income and insurance. The Open Door team has an unwavering commitment to improving the quality of life for our patients and within our community. We are working right here in your community to increase the health and well-being of thousands of area families. Last year we treated 11,500 patients in our clinics and 866 children in area schools. Mandy Houk has been the Director of Marketing & Development for Open Door Health Center, since August of 2018. Mandy has a master's degree in business development, more than 25 years experience in fundraising, and has won many awards in marketing. As a member of the executive leadership team at Open Door, Mandy is bringing a strategic focus to our marketing, outreach, and development efforts. Human trafficking—sexual exploitation, in particular—has been reported in all 87 counties of Minnesota. Some form of it most likely exists in most of our towns and cities. Our three Rotary districts which encompass Minnesota/Western Wisconsin/North Dakota and part of Manitoba have begun the task to focus on awareness, education and prevention of human trafficking. We are speaking at Rotary clubs to raise awareness and give each club tools by which they can raise awareness, educate and prevent it in their own communities. Clare Lillis, a 22 year Rotarian with the Forest Lake Rotary Club, has been club President, Assistant Governor, District Governor, Zone 28 Mentoring Chair and leader in several Dist. teams. Now, as co-chair of the Dist. 5960 Ending Human Trafficking in MN, along with Emma Nazarinia from the Rochester Rotary Club, attends numerous seminars, plays and film screenings to gain understanding of the breadth of the problem and speaks at Rotary clubs and other organizations to raise awareness and spark action to end human trafficking in MN. Prior to her role as the executive director of the Mankato Symphony Orchestra, Hannah was the director of the Fremont Health Foundation and major gift officer at Drake University Law School. Hannah owns and operates HB Digital Marketing, a freelance marketing, business training, and consulting agency. She is a performing jazz vocalist and sings with Southern Minnesota's Real Big Band. To bring this event to life, many volunteers are needed to assist as lane monitors and in awards. Your help would be greatly appreciated! Jeremy has been with Profinium for 3 years and leads the Profinium Mortgage team. Jeremy is the thought leader behind the Achieving Dreams Together Program. Jeremy continues to be be involved in community leadership such the The Boys Scouts of America. Karen Legault has been with Profinium for little over 1 year and she leads the Profinium Marketing Department. Karen lives in the Owatonna area and her community involvement includes mentoring and coaching professional women through the Owatonna Business Women's Organization. The Profinium Dreams Foundation is proud to announce our 4th season of our Achieving Dreams Together program which provides pivotal life changing moments for members of our community. I've been involved with Rotary through my husband, Dan, who is a long time member of the Eden Prairie AM Rotary Club. Currently I work with North Star Rotary Youth Exchange's Youth Exchange Officer Support Group. Our family has hosted 10 exchange students over 34 years. The presentation will describe the benefits of hosting a Rotary Exchange Club, as well as ways to recruit host families. It will also describe the two exchange programs available to local high school students. Dickmeyer is a longtime Mankato resident and nonprofit executive. She has 25+ years’ experience in business and economic development in southern Minnesota and the Twin Cities. Dickmeyer is the author of No Risk No Reward: Mergers of Membership Associations and Nonprofits and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato and a Master of Nonprofit Management Degree from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. The Power of Play will highlight one of the most successful children's museums in Minnesota. The CMSM has hosted nearly a half a million visitors since it opened its doors in 2015. Play is essential in all human lives. Unfortunately, today children’s play is constrained by technology, structured activities, and “stranger danger” among other impacts. This presentation will shed light on how the CMSM is positively impacting the children who will be our future employees, leaders, and innovators. Rafat is the 19-year old executive director of Fasting For Friends, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit combatting hunger and food insecurity through a new approach. He began Fasting For Friends in 2017 as a junior in high school after seeing the reality of food insecurity while volunteering at his local food shelf. He has received numerous local and state awards, and was valedictorian of his high school class. Rafat is currently a 2nd year undergraduate student at the University of Minnesota. |

Ashley and Doug Blanchard each have a Master Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. They are licensed by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. Licensed Acupuncturists have over 3,000 hours of training with two full years of supervised internships treating patients with acupuncture. They have worked with stroke recovery, post-surgery patients in hospitals, helping pregnant women find relief from symptoms, and with seniors, children, and more. Today's presentation will be a brief overview of how acupuncture can relieve your chronic pains and stress. Dave has been a Rotarian since 1982 and is a member of the Arden Hills/Shoreview Rotary Club. He is the past President of the Fridley Rotary Club and was also previously a member of the Stillwater Sunrise Club. Dave has held a variety of leadership positions in our Rotary district, including for the 12 years as the Chair of Fast for Hope. Dave has made 12 trips to Nicaragua. He is the recipient of the “Service Above Self” award from Rotary International and is a major donor to the Rotary Foundation. By profession he is a residential real estate developer and is a member of the Board of Directors of Tradition Capital Bank in Edina and North Oaks.

Patrick “Packy” Mader has a background in education, business, and agriculture, with a professional career as an elementary teacher and is the author of six books. He grew up on a dairy farm near St. Bonifacius, Minnesota, and has been a lifelong fan of sports at all levels leading to the creation of two 400-page nonfiction books, Minnesota Gold and More Minnesota Gold. He and his wife, Karen, live in Northfield, and are the parents of two children. Minnesota has a rich sports heritage. Packy’s two books are the only ones on the market featuring more than 100 Minnesota athletes (51 more in his soon to be released second volume) in a variety of sports and eras from every geographic region of the state who have competed in the Olympics and World Championships. The lives, perseverance, challenges, and achievements of the athletes who have competed on the world stage and now “give back” to their sport, community, and school are shared by Packy from what he learned through in-person interviews. My name is Brad Beeskow and I am the Graduate Services Advisor at Rasmussen College. We currently offer 4 graduate programs and will be expanding with 3 more programs rolling out in the Fall of 2020. Our 4 current programs include Master of Science in Nursing, Master of Healthcare Administration, Master of Human Resources Management and Master of Science in Data Science. This fall, we will be rolling Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Health and our first Doctoral program with our Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP). This presentation is designed to provide information on each program to generate interest in our community. |
